Hello this is group "i"💕, In this blog we will talk about an important subject that is rarely

discussed, how technology helped people with disabilities to

learn languages. so let's get started 😄

In the past, people with disabilities had difficulties that made it

look impossible to learn anything and reach their potential.

They meet barriers of all kinds, tend to take

longer to learn and develop new skills.

technology role in people with disabilities learning:

technology came and changed these standards and gave them a chance to learn lots of things like:

math, science and foreign languages,

Also gave disabilities teaching coaches options to help with their students' learning journey

and try to make it more personalized.

How Technology helped people with disabilities learn languages:

even though learning foreign languages sound terrific to people with disabilities,

however technology brought us new ways to help people with disabilities to learn foreign languages

in software or a hardware shape known as Assistive technology, so we are going to mention

some of the most popular examples, here we go 💖

Even though learning foreign languages sound terrific to people with disabilities,

however technology brought us new ways to help people with disabilities to learn foreign languages in software or a hardware shape known as Assistive technology, those are some of the popular examples:

Text-to speech:

turn text into natural-sounding speech across +40 languages and can be played at many different speeds.

Digital recorders:

Enables students to practice speeches and pronunciation.

Tablets:

Gives a multi-sensory learning experience and there are a large number of apps to help the students to learn.

Electronic resources and books:

Can be used with reading software books.

Reading pens:

Allows the students to scan text in print mediums and convert it into voice, some of them have an in-built dictionary that displays the definition and read it aloud.

Word-prediction programs:

Word prediction software can help a user during word processing by "predicting" a word the user intends to type. This prompts students who struggle with writing to use proper spelling, grammar, and word choices, with fewer keystrokes.

What’s the best assistive technology too?

It depends on what disability the student has, software technology works with most students, but in some cases, you will need different tools to help them learn and develop.

I think is blog is very helpful and contains really nice and simple details. One thing i cant say it
lacks is that the sentences are not written beginning with a capital letter. This will make the reader worry that they cannot trust and believe these information.

Thank you for this helpful blog, I really enjoyed reading this interesting and helpful information. I have a note about Word-prediction programs, it’s a helpful tool and I use it but, I think it’s not always correct or gives you a wrong words, or maybe it’s can’t recognize some words.

I surely agree with you that technology helped this group of society, but you all didn't say the learning before technology how it was ?
to be able to compare before\after this development in learning.
I think the topic is deep and you can review more information.
overall, thank you for all effort of course. ^__^

  8. Hello Group I this is Amal Almalki from Group F, what a great topic to talk about! These tools are quite helpful, and it is lovely to know that technology is not limited to a specific class. But the term disabilities is a little harsh for them, you can euphemism it by calling them “differently-abled”. Thank you for your effort!💓

Hello group ( I )You made some great points, Keep up the great job.

I completely agree with your assessment of how technology may make it much easier to learn languages than traditional ways.

As they mentioned The tablet is one of the most significant technologies.
Given the advantages of tablets and the benefits they provide to students and teachers, several schools have included them into the teaching process in their classrooms.
And, let's face it, the tablet is light and compact, making it convenient for the student to transport.
It also opens up a world of possibilities in terms of content viewing, creation, and modification in applications.

The simplest form of technology is the development and use of basic tools.

I have so much fun time in the blog it was very rich information. And I loved the design.

  18. Hello I’m Sahahd from group A 👋🏻💕. I extremely like your topic that you spot the light on this class of the community, You have demonstrated helpful points to assist them in learning the language. However, the text-to-speech tool takes a lot of time for the text to produce these words in speech since it relies on huge databases and hard-coding of the combinations. This requires a lot of computing power. In general, I think it's a great tool thanks guys for this thoughtful topic .❤️🥰
